The hotel was a very short walk from the airport bus, in a central location for exploring old town and a short walk to the trams. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-maintained (possibly newly refurbished?) and comfortable. The staff we encountered could not have been more helpful and a small issue with our air conditioning was sorted out immediately. We stayed in a twin room on the 7th (top) floor so we had to walk up one flight of stairs as the lift only went to the 6th.This was not a problem for us but might be an issue if you have a lot of bags. Despite overlooking the rock cafe we didn't notice any noise at night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

I visited this hotel many times. It is always my first choice when I search a hotel in Riga. The staff is very professional and very friendly. The rooms are very clean and cosy. The situation of the hotel, in the old city, is very comfortable. I recommand this hotel to everybody.

I love this place! My second time here (Feb 2017, and 10 days over the Song Festival July 2018), though others of my family have been staying here on and off since the 1990s. Staff treat me like an old friend, good humoured, very personable, and do whatever they can to help at any time. The location and the style plus the restaurant are a bonus! The price for all this would be way higher in any other major city - great value. My home away from home.

I loved my two-week stay at Radi un Draugi for the Song Festival. I had stayed here once before many years ago, and this hotel just keeps improving.

The staff are professional helpful and friendly. The room is old world charming, with modern amenities.

The restaurant is very good. Location in Old Riga is perfect. I will stay here next time without a doubt.

I do feel like I am among friends and neighbours when I stay here.

I stayed three nights in Riga for the marathon, and over the time between entering the race and arriving in Riga I'd booked, changed my mind and cancelled three different hotels. Eventually I found a really decent rate on this, had a read, and decided to go for it. Location was the deciding criterion, being in the heart of the Old Town, but only a couple of hundred metres from the start/finish of the race, close to shops and restaurants so I wouldn't have to do too much walking the night before and straight after the race, so I went for it. So glad I did, I got a lovely single room, with lots of storage, a decent TV and a mini-bar, plus a good sized and well-appointed bathroom. The single rooms was located at the rear of the property overlooking the terrace from Paddy Whelan's, but there was no noise and I slept very well. Staff couldn't do enough for me, I needed printouts, advice, directions and everyone seemed genuinely keen to help, friendly and proud of their city. Breakfast was lovely, varied, and not too busy when I went down at 8am. I'll happily go again next time I go to Riga.
